The Story of Siyamukhi: A Farmer’s Journey
The Decision to Return
By: Radha Raman Jha
My name is Radha Raman Jha, and I was born into a modest farming family in Mehath, a small village. Before 2009, I worked as a driver in Delhi, living a fast-paced life. I always dreamt of returning to my village to serve my parents and do something meaningful for my community.
In 2009, I left my job and returned to Mehath, where I noticed a recurring problem: people struggled to find pure milk. This inspired me to take the first step toward a solution by buying a cow.
The First Cow and Initial Challenges
In 2009, I bought my first cow with a calf by her side. Caring for her, milking her, and distributing the milk came with challenges. But by God’s grace, I overcame these hurdles. Soon, my cow gave birth to a heifer, and I realised I had more milk than my family needed. This surplus inspired me to think bigger.
The Birth of Siya Mukhi Dairy
In October 2009, I started a small dairy business called "Siya Mukhi Dairy" with one cow. Over time, the number of cows and our milk production grew. My goal was not just to produce milk; I wanted my community to have access to pure dairy products.
Today’s Success and Vision
Today, Siya Mukhi Dairy houses nearly 200 cows. What started as a small initiative has become a thriving business providing fresh milk and dairy products. Over time, I began making pure desi ghee to ensure families have access to nutritious products.
Siya Mukhi Dairy’s mission is to provide milk and set a standard for quality and trust. Good health begins with pure, wholesome food; I’m committed to delivering that.
Seeing how our pure milk and ghee improved lives, I realised people needed the same purity in all their food. I expanded beyond dairy. I grow organic fruits: mangoes, litchis, and jamuns. I also craft traditional foods: sattu (roasted gram flour), masala (spice mixes), and cold-pressed oils—each made with the same dedication to purity.
I aim to serve people across India and globally with pure, natural products. I dream that the goodness of Mehath’s soil will reach kitchens beyond our village.
From Farmer to Entrepreneur
This journey taught me that every obstacle has a solution. Financial challenges, limited resources, and societal doubts couldn’t stop me from pursuing my dream. I’m proud of my achievements, but I know there’s a long way to go. My vision is to make Siya Mukhi Dairy synonymous with purity and reliability.
A Farmer’s Pride
I remain connected to my roots, serving my parents and taking pride in my work. My journey from farmer to entrepreneur has been humbling and fulfilling. My goal remains to bring positive change to my community by providing fresh, healthy food.
If you ever find yourself in Mehath, stop by Siya Mukhi Dairy. Taste the purity of our milk and ghee and experience our dedication.
“I am a farmer, and that is my greatest identity.”
